  1. Read the first 2 pages of "The Village" by Estela Portillo Trambley. (MAKE SURE YOU ANNOTATE)
  2. You will be quizzed on the first  2 pages.
  3. Make sure you create thought provoking annotations. This will help with your quiz questions, as well with a deeper understanding of the text. 
  4. Highly recommend that the class does jump in reading, and discuss the text to help with creating your annotations.
