Most science writing is a type of writing known as expository writing.  Typically expository writing is: unbiased: It doesn't have an opinion or thoughts on the topic.  It is usually data and analysis. impersonal: Personal pronouns should not be used, this includes: I, you, s/he, they, we,etc. clear and succinct: This type of writing is not overly descriptive unless writing about a thing or process within the answer. ________________________________________ Scoring for this assignment is as follows: 3 points:  Answers are written in expository style, and do not include personal thoughts.  Answers are complete, demonstrate best effort and reflect an understanding about molecular movement and matter. 2 points:  Answers are not written in an expository style, but are complete, demonstrate best effort, and reflect an understanding of the Matter vocabulary and their relation to molecular movement.  Work is submitted on time. 1 point:  Assignment is not written in an expository style AND/OR is complete but does not reflect the student's best effort, AND/OR reflects a limited understanding of the Matter Vocabulary, AND/OR was not submitted on time . 0 points:  Did not attempt.
