Additional Info
Please go on to OneNote for the full title.
Please remind yourselves of the AOs by looking closely at the mark scheme. Remember to slant your essay in the direction of it being a dramatic performance (to an audience) and think about Williams’ aims in terms of how he presents the characters. You might find this an interesting snippet:
In a letter from New Orleans to Kazan (director of the play on stage and screen) dated April 19, 1947, Williams writes of Streetcar: ‘There are no 'good' or 'bad' people. Some are a little better or a little worse, but all are activated more by misunderstanding than malice. A blindness to what is going on in each other's hearts.’
Plan carefully - lead with your power points on thematic/character introductions (AO1) Remember to analyse the stagecraft, language, imagery, structure of dialogue, stage directions (all AO2) as well as integrating context seamlessly - don’t bolt it on!
Lastly - no more than three pages of typed, five pages of written.
