Dear 8H,

For Friday's lesson in DR2, please could you organise yourselves into groups of five. There should be five groups - number the groups off.

Tasks
Task 1: In your groups, read through scenes 10-21. Switch the parts as necessary so you all read and get a good feeling for the characters. Nominate someone to read the stage directions - these are just as important!

Task 2: Each group is going to annotate two scenes in detail picking out key aspects such as significant words or phrases, moments of reflection or foreshadowing, dramatic tension, mood and shifts, significant actions. You should aim to annotate at least five things in each scene. (We will look at scenes 10 and 21 together next week.)
Group 1: S11-12
Group 2: S13-14
Group 3: S15-16
Group 4: S17-18
Group 5: S19-20

Task 3: Focusing on your group's key scenes, consider how this might look on stage. Pick two moments from each scenes and create a freeze frame for this moment. If this is a speech addressed to the audience, think about how your expressions might convey the character's emotion and thoughts. How might you use the other people in your group to help illustrate what the speaking character is talking about?

In the last 15 minutes of the lesson, each group is going to perform their freeze moments to the rest of the class. Can they guess which moment you are depicting? Ask someone from the 'audience' to take a photograph of your group's freeze frames and upload this to the space I have created on the OneNote collaboration space (there is a page for each group).
